August 24, 2008 - SEIU Hired Prewitt Organizing Fund to lie to EAA members through a massive disinformation campaign. Prewitt is well-known as a union buster and was hired by the SEIU International specifically to destroy EAA and ruin our members’ future at the City. They have posed as a stalwart Union Steward and a Strike Captain and sent a fake email using the Steward’s name. SEIU is bringing in 40 professional union destroyers (they call them organizers) from across the United States, so lucrative are the dues they want to reap from our members.

These actions by SEIU have nothing to do with being a real union and have nothing to do with trying to help any of EAA’s members in any way whatsoever. SEIU is simply trying to confuse all issues. These despicable acts are the complete opposite of union solidarity and are to be condemned in the harshest terms by all.

Unless you are positive that you received a communication of any kind from the person claiming to send it, be aware of these tactics and take steps to verify the source. All EAA Governors, Unit Council members, and Union Stewards fully support EAA and will have nothing to do with SEIU. The EAA website is secure and articles on this site are approved by your EAA elected Governors.
