ERIP:  "L. A. City Retirements Threaten a Deep and Lasting Legacy"

"Los Angeles is about to get a crash course in smaller government."  [Critics say that Los Angeles never worked as well as other cities.  Wait until what they see now.]

[LA will have a] "reduced workforce for much of the next decade, well after Villaraigosa and many council members who endorsed the package have left City Hall.  [typical-politicians never stick around to see the damage they cause."

"Santana said the city's fiscal hole is still so large that he plans to recommend layoffs next month."  [As we said earlier-the Council needs to make the hard choices.]

""We're losing institutional knowledge," said Amir Sedadi" [#2 at LADOT]

NUHW vs. SEIU: "Upstart Union Wins a Plurality in Sonoma County Hospital Vote"

"National Union of Healthcare Workers  (NUHW) garnered 283 votes, compared to 13 for the rival Service Employees International Union."  [Congratulations to our friend Sal Rosselli, the leader of NUHW and an ally in the fight against the Purple Plague.]

[This is a]crushing defeat for the SEIU.  [And they deserve many more for their raiding activities and management friendly contracts.]
