IMPLEMENTATION OF FY2010-11 CIVILIAN FURLOUGHS
Friday, Jul 23, 2010
Part of this correspondence is a table organized by City department and/or Bureau with the furlough schedule for each. The previously announced exemptions are present but there are no new exemptions or reductions in furloughs except for possibly Animal Services, which will have 26 half- day furloughs for a total of 13 days. We had not previously noticed this.
Otherwise, only positions with 90% or more of funding from non-General Fund sources are exempt. Of particular note is that the Bureau of Engineering is scheduled for its full 26 furlough days. And of course, if EAA’s Tentative Agreement with the City is ratified, EAA-represented employees at all Departments and Bureaus scheduled for 26 furlough days will have that number reduced to 10.
