Hearing Date Set for EAA’s Motion to Compel Furlough Grievance Arbitration:

As reported in an article on this website dated April 30, 2010, EAA filed a motion in Superior Court to compel the City to arbitrate the furlough grievances filed by 424 of our members as required by the grievance procedure in each MOU.  The City has repeatedly refused to arbitrate.  The date for the parties to present their positions is now set for September 16, 2010.  EAA is represented in this case by an attorney from the firm of Levy, Stern, and Ford.
