Governor Art C. Faelnar

Art C. Faelnar is your Governor for the Administrative Unit, MOU1. He is a Tax Auditor with the Office of Finance. He became an EAA member when he promoted to Accountant I with the Department of Building and Safety. In 2003, he was appointed to the vacant position of MOU1 Governor. He ran for re-election in the Board election later that year. He was re-elected by his brothers and sisters in MOU1 and was re-elected again in 2006.

Art is a member of the union’s Finance Committee, Scholarship Committee and the Election Committee. As a member of the Board of Governors, he is also a member of the current negotiating committee.

Art expresses his thanks to all who supported him through the years and to all who supported EAA in the struggle for new MOUs. He understands the frustration with City management, but is encouraged by the successful job actions of 2006 and the seemingly new attitude on the part of City negotiators in the DWP disparity negotiations.
