CAO Releases Layoff List of 1,000 Positions

EAA believes that this list was prepared in accordance with the Mayor's directive to proceed with the layoff of 1,000 employees as detailed in the many news items linked on this website for the last several weeks.  As noted by some analysts, some of these positions will be transferred to proprietary departments or to positions funded by some revenue source other than the General Fund.  It is worth noting that there are positions on the list from virtually every MOU and every union.  Miguel Santana memorandum dated February 8, 2010.
