Assistant Executive Director Patti Loparo

EAA members are fortunate indeed to enjoy the services of Patti Loparo, your Assistant Executive Director. She is actively involved in every aspect of EAA and accompanies Bob Aquino in all meetings and negotiations. This insures that a capable and knowledgeable back-up is available should Bob be unavailable for any reason.
More than backing-up, Patti is an active participant in the EAA discussions of issues and poses some of the very best “devil’s advocate” questions of anyone on staff. This ensures that decisions are made considering all viewpoints on a particular issue, while avoiding many possible pitfalls.
When Patti joined EAA at the same time as Bob, she was tasked with implementing many of the changes the Board of Governors desired. She hires and manages the office staff and was responsible for the actual implementation of the financial accountability demanded by the Board and the Executive Director. Under her direction, EAA has gone from juggling to pay its bills to having a large reserve fund. The office staff is now a model of efficiency and service to the membership. In addition, Patti maintained and updated the old website for 7 years, a task more difficult knowing the site was limited in functionality.
Patti’s financial and office management abilities were evident in her previous employment of 18 years in the banking business where she first worked with Bob Aquino, during his tenure at Coast Federal Bank. It is quite evident why their loss was our gain.
Patti is one of the most vocal Union advocates on EAA’s staff. Through her actions she demonstrates the resolve and dedication that is essential for all union members if a union is to succeed. She encourages every member to take advantage of every opportunity to learn more about EAA, union history in general, and his or her MOU and other terms and conditions of employment. Knowledge is everything for continued success.
