SEIU Lies and Cheats so They Can Steal (EAA’s Dues)

Reports from outraged EAA members and articles from various on-line sources confirm that SEIU is once again invading the privacy of EAA members at home and lying to EAA members at home and at work.  This once again verifies that you can trust nothing that comes from the Purple Plague.  Nor can you trust the shills who would be unable to recognize the truth were it ever to invade their personal spheres.

MOU Ratification Ballot Count July 30, 2010

EAA members in good standing may attend and observe the entire ballot count for their MOU ratification election.  A neutral third party, the American Arbitration Association (AAA), will conduct the verification, opening, and counting of the ballots at the EAA offices.  Details are in the full article.

Your MOU Vote in the Los Angeles Times

The Times published an article today confirming the information EAA provided its members about the Tentative Agreement (TA).  The Times makes it clear that it is SEIU, not analytical members of EAA, that is providing the negative fliers and emails.  In addition, they quote Matt Szabo issuing a warning to SEIU.

Jobs in Los Angeles City Service Updated July 29, 2010

The City has established an additional list to the one we regularly link.  It is called "available special funded vacant positions" updated 7/26/10, and is separate from the regularly published transfer list updated 7/28/10.  In addition, we now link the City's list of Civil Service exams, both open and promotional.

IMPLEMENTATION OF FY2010-11 CIVILIAN FURLOUGHS

On July 23, 2010, the CAO issued an interdepartmental correspondence to the City Council titled “IMPLEMENTATION OF FY2010-11 CIVILIAN FURLOUGHS”.  This document confirms all correspondence issued previously by the CAO, and, more importantly, confirms all articles EAA has provided to its members.

MOU NEGOTIATIONS – NOW AND IN THE FUTURE

The negotiation process for the EAA Tentative Agreement (TA) for 2010-11 MOU’s and the mutually agreed Letters of Intent (LOI) contained therein provide information about the City’s positions during this bargaining period and, by logical extension, during future bargaining periods.  In many ways, the City’s positions mirror those we all read about daily in the various on-line and print media.  We will present and analyze these LOI in detail.
