MOU Ratification Ballot Count July 30, 2010

EAA members in good standing may attend and observe the entire ballot count for their MOU ratification election.  A neutral third party, the American Arbitration Association (AAA), will conduct the verification, opening, and counting of the ballots at the EAA offices.  Details are in the full article.

Your MOU Vote in the Los Angeles Times

The Times published an article today confirming the information EAA provided its members about the Tentative Agreement (TA).  The Times makes it clear that it is SEIU, not analytical members of EAA, that is providing the negative fliers and emails.  In addition, they quote Matt Szabo issuing a warning to SEIU.

MOU NEGOTIATIONS – NOW AND IN THE FUTURE

The negotiation process for the EAA Tentative Agreement (TA) for 2010-11 MOU’s and the mutually agreed Letters of Intent (LOI) contained therein provide information about the City’s positions during this bargaining period and, by logical extension, during future bargaining periods.  In many ways, the City’s positions mirror those we all read about daily in the various on-line and print media.  We will present and analyze these LOI in detail.
