Jessica R. Thompson, the daughter of Tina M. Backstrom, and John Valera, the grandson of Pio Paraiso, Jr., are the recipients of the 2009 Engineers and Architects Association Scholarship Awards. Each winner will receive $2,000 to help them pursue their higher education goals.
