EAA and NUHW Hold Joint Stewards Meeting

Unified in their resolve and dedication to providing the best possible representation to their members, the Engineers and Architects Association and the National Union of Healthcare Workers joined together Thursday night in an historic effort to share questions, stories, and strategies in their respective fights against SEIU.

EAA DELIVERS WIN FOR ELEVEN MEMBERS AT AIRPORT

The City has fully investigated the issue and will take appropriate steps to hold Superintendent interviews anew according to Paula Adams, LAWA Personnel Director. Two promotional positions will be added to the three pending authorizations. This investigation and its positive result occurred due to the actions of EAA Labor Representative Christopher Moody.

Attending the JLC annual awards recognition brunch on June 14, 2009, members of your Board of Governors and staff joined with the JLC to celebrate their 75 years as labor's partner.

EAA SUCCESSFUL AT PERSONNEL COMMITTEE

EAA brought two issues, one at ITA and the other at LAWA, to the Personnel Committee meeting of April 21, 2009.

EAA Gets Thousands in Unpaid Mileage for Finance Employees

EAA filed UERP 1701 in September 2008 after an employee in the Office of Finance alerted his EAA representative that mileage was not being computed and paid in accordance with provisions in the applicable EAA MOU.

EAA GETS RESULTS, NOT HEADLINES

EAA continually works for the benefit of its members in various arenas, including but not limited to grievances, Unfair Employee Relations Practices (UERP), unique benefits for EAA members, negotiations with the City on issues affecting members, and active involvement with other unions and leaders in labor organizations and events.
