Preliminary results of the MOU Ratification ballot are now available in this article.  Slightly more than 3,000 ballots were mailed to EAA members and 1,843 were returned to AAA.  More details in the full article.

MOU Ratification Ballot Count July 30, 2010

EAA members in good standing may attend and observe the entire ballot count for their MOU ratification election.  A neutral third party, the American Arbitration Association (AAA), will conduct the verification, opening, and counting of the ballots at the EAA offices.  Details are in the full article.

Your MOU Vote in the Los Angeles Times

The Times published an article today confirming the information EAA provided its members about the Tentative Agreement (TA).  The Times makes it clear that it is SEIU, not analytical members of EAA, that is providing the negative fliers and emails.  In addition, they quote Matt Szabo issuing a warning to SEIU.

Jobs in Los Angeles City Service Updated July 29, 2010

The City has established an additional list to the one we regularly link.  It is called "available special funded vacant positions" updated 7/26/10, and is separate from the regularly published transfer list updated 7/28/10.  In addition, we now link the City's list of Civil Service exams, both open and promotional.
