SEPTEMBER 29, 2008 -In a memorandum dated September 23, 2008, Controller Laura Chick is implementing a paperless system for direct deposit paychecks. As this is implemented across the City, employees will no longer receive a paper confirmation of their direct deposit but may access the information online. This will save paper and printing costs for the City. Those who wish may opt out of the paperless process and continue to receive a paper "pay-stub" for direct deposit. Of course, those who still want an actual paycheck will see no changes. However, the convenience of direct deposit has become even better with the convenience of accessing your pay information from any computer.
